Bridge the gap between smooth plastic and high-quality paint with Novol Plus 700. This 500ml aerosol is a specialized one-component (1K) primer designed to solve the most common problem in automotive refinishing: paint peeling off plastic.

Plus 700 acts as a chemical "tie-coat," biting into the surface of difficult automotive plastics and providing a receptive anchor for subsequent layers of primer, basecoat, or structured topcoats.

Professional Application Strategy

Plastic preparation is 90% of the job. Follow these steps to ensure the paint stays on forever:

Heat Treatment (Optional but Recommended): For new, unprimed plastic parts, briefly "sweat" the part in a spray booth or with a heat gun (carefully) to release internal molding oils, then degrease again.
Scuffing: Lightly abrade the surface using a Grey Abrasive Pad (Ultra Fine) to create a mechanical key without leaving deep scratches.
Deep Clean: Clean the surface thoroughly with Novol Plus 780 Silicone Remover. This is the most critical step.
Application: Shake the can for 2 minutes. Apply one or two very thin layers. Do not over-apply; a heavy wet coat can actually reduce adhesion.
Timing: Wait 5 to 10 minutes (until the surface is "tack-free") before applying your next layer of acrylic primer or topcoat.

Expert Insight: Plus 700 is a "bridge." It is not a high-build filler. If your plastic part has scratches or gouges, apply Plus 700 first, wait 10 minutes, then apply a high-build primer like Novol Ultra Fuller 100 mixed with Plus 770 Elasticity Agent to fill the imperfections.
